BR diesel-hydraulic Class 42 ("Warship") D821 Greyhound (built at Swindon in 1960) enters Bewdley station on the Severn Valley Railway with an afternoon service from Bridgnorth during the line's Diesel Gala in October 2011.
Only two of these locos (the other being D832 Onslaught) remain in existence; Greyhound is now not far off her 40th anniversary as a preserved engine, having spent a mere dozen years in BR service! An attractive loco, I feel.

Love these old things! I wish they'd been kept on later, they didn't get much chance to show what they could do, had they used standard parts, there'd be no stopping them!
