Description
Resident SR West Country Class 4-6-2 no. 34027 Taw Valley (built Brighton 1946, rebuilt 1957) arrives at Arley with the slightly delayed 10.23 to Bridgnorth on the Friday of the Severn Valley Railway's Autumn Steam Gala. This was this loco's first gala appearance after a nine-year overhaul and was a popular addition to the line-up. The weather on the Friday was generally good, apart from one heavy shower at the northern end of the line in early afternoon.
