The Height of Good Manors

Description

GWR 7800 ("Manor") Class no. 7812 Erlestoke Manor at Arley station on the Severn Valley Railway. (Note the handily-placed name on the lamp!) This locomotive was built at Swindon in 1939 and remained in service with GWR and then BR until 1965. From there she went to Barry Scrapyard, being rescued for preservation and restored. She made her first run in preservation in 2008, and is now a popular sight on the SVR.

Note: the answer to the title is, of course, exactly 13 feet.

There seem to be little to no (external) differences between the Manors, Halls and Castles. Other than the larger boiler on the Castles, what makes them so different compared to each other?
