Description

BR Class 52 ("Western) D1062 Western Courier (built at Crewe, 1963) enjoying the limelight at Bridgnorth station during this year's SVR Diesel Gala. The weather was amazingly changeable on this particular day, and five minutes either side it was pouring with rain. I really like the maroon livery, especially when the sun comes out!

That on the Saturday? I was in the first coach on one of the Bridgnorth departures. Kudos to the driver for the ascent up through Knowlesands Tunnel and over the top. She really did fly! D1062 and D1013 have got to be my favourite diesels on the SVR.
